Just Dance Troupe - Our Newest Members

As mentioned in the previous post, we are so happy to welcome aboard the Just Dance Troupe of Second Life. With great happiness and excitement, we look forward to their involvement with the SHB Gems.

I asked for a write up from them, and Ele Weymann was kind enough to provide me with the following. Let's say "hello and welcome" to the Just Dance Troupe.

**** Just Dance troupe is a collaboration between good friends Tami, Mal, Ele and Nik, who share a love for dance and performing, the emphasis is on having fun and giving joy

The Troupe came to be when a troupe they performed with was closing its doors.

It was a way to keep those who enjoyed performing together doing so.

Just Dance is in essence made up of friends who have been involved in the sl dance world for some time and who wanted to continue dancing together and several friends of members who have joined since.

Consisting of Choreographers and backing dancers all the ethos is to work as one...a team...to leave stresses and strains behind...and express ourselves through the art of dance.

Some members, like the Management team of Nik who is our MC/DJ and Mal our backstage manager. Tami and Ele who co manage the troupe as well as being Choreographers in their own right. but each and every member is equally valued for their talents and efforts put in to making the troupe a success.

Having formed at the end of 2020 and moved into own venue Jan 2021 the troupe is now into its third year.

Shows currently are at 4pm once a month with some special event shows in addition.

Many of our shows have a underlying theme the Choreo interpret their own way but we also like variety dance shows where anything goes and the themes of the dances are left to the creators.

We are also happy if invited to take the show on the road and have performed at other venues.

We as a unit support some worthy awareness and fund raising events like Autism Awareness and Relay For Life. and have joined with the SHB Gems Relay For Life Team and the GEMS are running events at Just Dance Venue on Tues afternoon/Evenings.
